Mud flap installation: general information

Fitting a mud flap correctly affects both its life and its appearance. The following is general information; if there is a situation specific to your vehicle, ask us.

Preparation

Make sure the surface where it will be fitted is clean and flat; before positioning the flap, check its size and height on the vehicle.

Hinge set

For bumper-size mud flaps, the hinge set makes it easier to fix the flap to the bumper.

Aluminium strip

The strip fitted to the bottom edge helps the flap hang straight and gain weight.

Final check

After fitting, make sure the mud flap does not rub against the wheel and stays fixed on the road without swinging.
