Mud flap thickness: the difference between 4, 6 and 8 mm
Mud flap thickness sets the balance between flexibility, weight and durability. We offer three thickness options on our site.
4 mm – thin and flexible
If you want a lighter, more flexible structure and do not expect very heavy use, 4 mm is a suitable starting point.
6 mm – standard
This is the middle option most of our customers choose. It balances durability and flexibility; we usually suggest that those who are undecided start with 6 mm.
8 mm – heavy duty
This is the thick option for those looking for a sturdier structure in harsh road and load conditions.
Fluorescent and printed models
Fluorescent mud flaps are made in 4, 6 and 8 mm thickness, in any size and model you want. Thin white mud flap options are also available for direct digital printing.
